Anacortes and Sidney have unique ways of celebrating cultural similarities and difference. Each Spring, on the Sidney shore, residents from Anacortes and Sidney have a brief international party to celebrate the reopening of the ferry run between the two cities. And each July and December, folks from both cities participate in each other's patriotic parades and holiday parades.
